We strive to staff our camp with an 8 to 1 camper to counselor ratio. Our counselors consist of college coaches and players and high school coaches. All counselors are college age or older.Can my child participate at camp with a beginner skill level?
Absolutely yes. Our camp includes children of all different skill levels. We instruct our counselors to structure their range of teaching from beginners to more advanced players. In game competition, our counselors are instructed to have all campers play equal playing time.What will my child learn at camp?
Our goal is to expose and drill campers for approximately an hour a day on various basketball skills. The camp counselors will drill the campers daily on those fundamentals.How are the campers broken into age groups?
Our age groups are (6-7), (8), (9-10), (11-12) and (13-14-15). The six, seven and eight year olds play on eight-foot baskets.Will campers in the youngest age group go through a normal camp day?
With the youngest campers, we structure the day a little differently. They are taught the fundamentals at a more basic level and break more frequently during the day. We try to make the day as fun and active as possible.Does the camp take place indoors or outdoors?
Our youngest campers (6-7-8) are indoors the entire time. All other age groups are indoors and outdoors. No age group is ever outdoors an entire day, and water breaks are taken frequently.What type of supervision takes place for swimming?
Only a limited number of campers are sent to the pool at one time. Three certified lifeguards are on duty to supervise. The first day of camp, campers are tested by the lifeguards and designated an area of the pool where they can swim safely.What should my child bring to camp?
The only necessary items are a swimming suit and a towel. No food or drinks are required. A catered lunch is provided, as well as an afternoon snack.What kind of food is served at camp?
Our menu consists of kid friendly foods like chicken fingers, hamburgers, hot dogs, sub sandwiches and pizza.
